I’d Be Lyin
If I told you that I hate you,
For what you put me through.
And every word you told me,
I never thought was true.
That every time you held me,
In your loving arms.
What you really were doing,
Was causing my heart harm.
That you played me for a fool,
Laughed behind my back.
Never once giving thought,
To how I would react.
If I told you I no longer care,
That I’m ready to move on.
Whatever I felt for you,
Is over, dead and gone.
I’d be lyin.

Jeff, this is a wonderful write.
The flow and the simplicity just carry you there.
Love it

This is painful and sad... unrequitted love sucks and to love someone who isn't loving you back is pure misery.
Strong poem, very real emotions here, nicely done.
