Fake Tan & Bits!

Contributed by Unaekseveer1 on Sunday, 1st September 2002 @ 04:19:55 PM in AEST
Topic: PoemsonBeauty

Is this what you think we’re all looking for
Fake tan and bits, well NO I want more

Take a look at yourself inside you will see
Just what is dreamt of a woman to be

You’re tender, kind and soft to touch
Just like the one who’s escaping this clutch

Our ideals not so different will you see why
We both want somebody to gaze in the eye

First thing in the morning watching you awake
My dreams for the day ahead you’ll always make

You’re able to transform all those yesterdays
Into sense and not just this mess of a maze

You make every tomorrow looked forward to
Seeing new adventures for exploration with you

Please don’t assume we men are all the same
With enough to deal with, not needed is more shame

Yes once foolishly attracted to these pretty girls
With their fake tan and bits, their jewels and pearls

Now after learning to see the very hardest way
There’s just nothing inside when the shine fades away

Truly beautiful lady you’re the one for me
You’re the one with your feelings for all to see

Constantly being amazed by the look of supprise
When expected to ogle, not look deep in your eyes

Afraid you might think this is only a con
How to assure it’s inside which is seen going on?

I liked this a lot...reminded me that some people see us for who we really are..and I'm sure if you did steal a line on accident whoever's it was won't mind you using it in this wonderful poem...=)

The shallow people that only take you for your looks are the ones that loose out in the end. When their looks have gone, what is left?

Lovely lovely poem
Penny.

Nicely written and done so for all us woman to see from the Mans point of view. :)

Yes, it seems men go thru that stage of just seeing the superficial, but then agian, why would a woman let them? So they are just as guilty if they just settle for that one. When there's more to choose from, in the way of looking deeper, the real meaning of seeing someone, inside, the shelll is really only a part of who they are. The real meaning comes from within. Good write Dean.
always....... Amber Rose :)

Hi Amber Rose,
Your thoughts it seems are always so meaningful to me! You make me think!
This write was meant for helping people see that we really are the same species. Whether woman or man we do all sometimes try to see love and life from each others perspective! Some a little more often than others maybe, but sometimes we all do.
I'm glad you got what I meant, although I new you would. I am pleased you liked it.
Thankyou with love
Dean ;-)

Cheers Lasca, but I do feel as though I'm guilty of accidental plagiarism! If that's possible?
Anyway I'm glad you liked it enough to say so
With love
Dean

Dean, even though most of the men I have known have only looked for someone beautiful on the outside, I know that there are those out there who look for the truly deeper and more important beauty that is on the inside. Great poem. I love it.

Dean, it is really good to hear that some one who was shallow can grow out of it. But I don't think that it happens often enough. I will admit that I do look at the out ward appearences but I do look for the beauty inside as well.
