i walk down the street my mind thinking hard
who would be my friend would my family be here
think real hard i find myself almost to tears
i suddenly realize no one would be there for me
in this world of us and them alzherimers is them
how can i imagine what its like to have alzhermers
what would be my reaction at forgetting how to dress
do i fathom what its like to get lost in my own house
and when i read what happens when i forget
how to do that
in this world of us and them alzheimers is them
i try to remember how frustrating it would be if i couldnt
remember how to talk or read what would i do if i could
no longer write no letters signing checks no more poems
sadly to never understand what was being said what a tragedy
in this world of us and them alzheimers is them
there is so much in this world for us to lose i really dont
think id want to lose any everyone is so precious to me if i
could just imagine myself without any i would be really lost
if i had to come up with just one maybe i could lose alzheimers
in this word of us and them alzheimers is them

I do love your style but I do wish you would write about something else. I understand why you do though. I would just love to see something else from you in a while. You have such talent. Even writing about the same thing it never gets stale. Good write. |
