The lane is to long

Contributed by lonesomerose on Tuesday, 13th January 2004 @ 03:00:15 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Are we there yet?
This lonesome road is going
on and on and on
nothing is helping this ride along.

Mile markers seem to be far
and few between
I just want to arrive
at the destiny.

This road is like the fight
that went on much to long
the longer the argument
the longer it dragged along.

To a new mother giving birth
what a long awaited dream
the baby is taking forever to get here
the poor mother screams.

This road out in the middle of nowhere
all dark and bleak
oh its taking forever to get there
my patience is running thin.

Eyes are tired nothing to keep me awake
this road is long and boring
oh for goodness sakes.
Maybe I need just pull off an take a break.

Sometimes in life that is what we need
to take a calming deep breath
walk around and strech our legs
there is always something where
the lane seems just to **** long!

Nice write. I fully relate. Very good expression of it.
