Tell me little girl,
why you sit there and smile.
All the pain in the world
rests on your little heart,
yet you never cry
or show any helpless emotion.
Tell me little girl,
how you can hold the tears back.
They burn deep holes in your soul,
I know.
A forgotten childhood rests in your eyes,
lost in so many memories,
that never make any sense.
Tell me little girl,
where has all your innocence gone?

Your poem was so precious. It just tugged at my heart.

I like how this was worded. It was a very good poem. |
