In the garden

Topic: PoemsonBeauty

Summer time always a treat
enjoyable gardens that smelled so sweet.
Pleasant to my eyes they greet
an aray of colors sway in a summer breeze.

Alot of work and great care
she took hours long to prepare
the most beautiful flowers I had even seen
now since shes gone a bit of me is pining.

Longing for a walk through the garden
to bask with flowers under the sun
butterflies, birds and bee's are humming
she loves them one and all.

I miss those wild yellow roses
that were her granddads favorite prize
that she held in such high regard
they danced in light breezes with pride.

I wish I had her talent
a green thumb like she has
I always was amased with beauty
that only she could surpass.

Rocky ground grew flowers
unfertile soil grew grand cucumbers
then at last I realized
everything grew because of her great love.

Michelle I miss you and your beautiful gardens
I drove past there a couple days ago and the place looks sick pale and ugly.It has withered
away into nothing. If only I could smell one of your beautiful roses.Love ya Shelby!!!!

Gosh what a bitter/sweet poem. It's wonderfully written. Very descriptive, I could even picture it. The love for this person really shows, so sad to hear she's not here anymore. Beautiful poem! Keep on writing! ;)
