Conflicting with myself

Contributed by lostinmyself on Monday, 12th January 2004 @ 01:31:35 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I fall into the darkness
And into all the lies,
I'm seeing all the people who I love and I despise,
Many conflicting images swirl inside my head,
And I sit and cry in the middle,
Wishing I was dead.

I'm sick of all the terror,
All the anger and the lies,
All my childish hopes of happiness,
Are lost into the sky,
Disappearing into eternity,
No truth here, only lies,
I just sit and cry in the middle,
Wishing I would die.

I really want to be happy,
But still want to be me,
But I feel so all alone now,
Is there nobody else that sees?

I'm just sitting on the floor and crying over me

Your poem made me want to cry. It was a great poem, the flow etc but it was incredibly sad and I believe came from your deepest parts. Writing is a great way to vent, please hang in there...

This is a good poem with alot of emotion. I liked it. Sometimes you have to make choices albeit hard choices.

I can so relate to this, at times. It's very expressive, Phil. The last line is especially poignant. Blessings.

this was a good first post, phil. i can see that youve really grown as a writer, but since you started off this well, you only could become more brilliant with use of expression. and as for the concept, hopefully there is no more darkness to fall into...

Very delicate write here, not very difficult to understand, or perceive, sometimes we can better locate ourselves in those subtle moments, at war within our souls. RL

Desperation so well penned. Know that I'm always here.
Take care,
