Sine You Left

Contributed by sweet-poison on Monday, 12th January 2004 @ 12:12:36 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Since you left me,
My heart is not whole,
You left me as a half,
Half a person,
With half a heart.

Almost a year now,
Since our last goodbye,
I still hear your voice,
Repeat those heartbreaking words,
I still see your tears, Sometimes.

You were so determined,
You even wiped my tears,
With the sleave of your cotton shirt,
I still remember your scent,
It used to be comforting,
Not now.

Do you remember?
You looked into my eyes,
And told me you loved me,
Right before you left.
I'll never forget,
The sadness in your eyes,
So deep, Tender, Sorrowful,
I saw your soul that day,
You were so pure,
You even wrapped your arms around me,
Why?
Why be so loving,
At the same time as breaking my heart?
That hurt the most,
You built up my hopes,
Then turned, And walked away,
Darling,
You didnt even look back.

Ouch. That was a good one. Stinging in it's truth. Always hurt more that way...
