A Time To Deliver

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

A time to deliver

One day I shall conquer my fears and pray that a time may pass
When a sense of belief and belonging will arouse a scattered path
To a sound of worth and effort for some
So that I will not be the man who beats a muffled drum

To tears spent and blood yet wasted
I charge the thoughts of contempt
I fear I have disappointed many
But many years I do not regret

Too many times in my short life have I failed to deliver what I promise
More than just withered words I may offer to faces that look upon us
What I have is plenty
What I have given is neither here nor there
What I want to do more than anything
Is to face a day of fare share

Time does not change the person within
Experiences, wants needs and desires play their part
For my want is little but my need is great
And one day soon I shall rebuild the shattered raft

One day I will smile at those faces
One day they shall smile back
One day

Gosh!! To say this is an emotional poem is an understatement! Geezzz I'm stunned. Very touching and wise poem I love the :
Time does not change the person within
Experiences, wants needs and desires play their part
For my want is little but my need is great
And one day soon I shall rebuild the shattered raft
Part! Very true, couldn't have put it any better. You're very talented! write more!!
