BOREDOM!

I am so bored as I sit here and write
I am trying to end my poor mind's plight.
It struggles hard to write and rhyme
It finds it hard to scribble in time.
My boredom does not help its case
For I have no thoughts or expressions upon my face.
Oh to write when bordom strikes,
is truely the most epic of fights.

It invokes the smell of raspberries on a dusky, mid-summer afternoon. A phenominal piece of artistry which where it lacks in intensity makes up in extensive jollity. How the poem soothes the aching pain of that which you describe, the eternal demon that plagues us all, that which brings low even the greatest of men, BOREDOM.

HI! A-bear here. I love to get started on boredom. Man get me a soapbox. LOL As to the poem the last three lines...especially the one beginning "For I have no thoughts ... it seems too long and clumsy. Had it been me I would shorten it somehow, maybe like, "There reflects no thought upon my face.".... The next line I have no problem with..but the last one..strikes and fights don't really rhyme... so my suggestion would be to use the sites rhyming dictionary. Otherwise..Thumbs up! Hope you don't mind my brutal honesty.....? |
