a dream away arm lengths away
a flight to the moon how far away
catch me on the run catch me if you can
but can i catch you where are you
we have run all out of choices anymore
the mind is gone there is no reasoning
she sounds like a record that is stuck
when you tell her she is repeating
all she says is i dont remember that
we have run all out of choices anymore
my nights and days are all backwards
i keep trying to get normal again - all gone
the mind goes where it wants all the time
the mind goes when it wants all the time
we have run all out of choices anymore
after awhile i feel as if im in limbo why
time has stopped i sit here waiting for what
i know not what for i feel trapped no escape
in a place where no one should be ever
we have run all out of choices anymore

Your so right about the Alzheimers...It really hurts to see someone you love go through this...I also wrote a poem on this site too about Alzheimers..It's called I Don't Know You..check it out...This is well written... |
