He mixed them all in equal part
the resultant color a pale gray
He quickly grasped the brush to start
his labor of love for this day
He feathered and dabbed his work
until he was most pleased
Gazing into this place
of which he was the seed
And even if one color
is the only that he used
His imagination created
all the other hues
With his mind he wanders
through fields wild and free
but with his hazel colored eyes
he simply doesn't see.
