Time Always Passes Us By

Should I weep and mourn
For the passing days that fade so quickly?
That it was only yesterday
I was someone else
Looking through the eyes of someone,
I've since lost...
It's not every day we understand
The enormity of the world,
Or see the rags of time
That have so swiftly run across our skin,
Filling our memory with riches
For the surrender of our young hearts
That we once wore like a badge of steel armor,
Tarnished in the aftermath of the aging youth.
And time drives by with even more acceleration,
As the days creep like a slow drip,
And turn to memories.
How meaningless they seem in real life,
But reflection colors them like spring,
And we undertand, once again
What it feels like to be young...

I love this. Well said. I'm looking back these days and seeing my memories being colored like spring. Very poignant for me. Thanks again for a wonderful read.
