Muffled Lullaby

Contributed by carebear on Saturday, 10th January 2004 @ 09:04:26 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

A cut on her arm,
A dripple of freedome
Holding a pen in her right hand she scribbles.
"Taking away my life,
Sucking out the pain,
Writing my name in blood..
She express my heart,
She show no fear,
As she writes her heat on the wall.
*she continues to write...*
"Torture has been my friend,
Crying has been a comfort,
Cutting has been my release."
Drip after drip she suffering fades.
Her blue eyes turn cold with an icey glaze,
She feels her body beggining to weaking.
*she writes more...*
Brusies gone,
Vocies whispering
My tired soul."
Pretty scars criss crossed along her arm,
Her shattering heart bleeding,
Nothing disapears.
*she writes..*
"My screams are muffled,
Tears I shed turn in to posion,
Loss has no meaning."
Her memories fled,
The quilt sunk,
She will not speak.
*she continues to write...*
"No lie will tell me truth,
A heart won't show me love,
The reflection I see won't see beauty."
She sits in a corner,
Thoughts pulling away.
Her life she takes.
*she writes..*
I know I don't belong,
I'm sorry I've caused pain,
My name will be forgotten."
Ghostly white face her demons die,
A singel tear runs down her face,
She was a child trying to find her place.

Excellent write, its more or less cutting in a nutshell. You show such great talent, and such powerful almost forceful emotion, that this poem, is just in simple words, powerful. Were chattin on YIM! lol, anyway keep up the awsome work, and may you alwayz have such passion for literature and getting thoughts down.
