Cradle me in lustful arms
Push me down and make me cry
Kiss me gently with pouting lips
Smash my heart with jagged stones
Brush the hair from my eyes
Steal my pride with greedy hands
Devote your presence unto me
Take the life from my soul
Hold my hand and make me safe
Bring me monsters while I sleep
Worship ground I walk upon
Molest the air that I breathe
Vow to me your one true love
Lock me up and then you run...

A harrowing double egde to this - shook me a bit I have to say - especially if written on personal experience - and I 'm of the mind it was - still inside obviously - and out it hollers through poetry. You're getting the message across here for sure. Stirring stuff - I feel here.

A double edged sword, if I do say so myself. Either way, you are a prisoner within his confines. This hapens to so many, and sometimes, I wish I had the power to snap my fingers, and put the shoe on the other foot. I would givehim the old ball and chain , and give you the whip...

A beiginning and an end, An alpha and omega. This poem sounds to me like love gone bad, good when it started but ending harshly. It never ceases to amaze me the way feelings for someone can turn so over time.
Good contrast, nice style. I hope you write more like this in the future. I really enjoyed it. |
