Snuggle up with your insecurity blanket
The one with all the holes chewed in it.
The one with all the tense meal-time stains.
The one that smells of all those awkward silences you'd love to forget.
The one who comforted you when you messed up and got shouted at.
Snuggle up with your insecurity blanket
The one that reminds you you're not so perfect.
The one that reminds you that you wanna be oblivious and happy again.
The one that tells you that you were a fool for thinking your biggest problem was not being allowed to eat sweeties before dinner...or that your favourite cartoon had been replaced with a newer crappier one.
Hold onto it tight. 'Til that soft scratchy bitter-sweet material has shredded itself into tiny insignificant bits.
