Lifepoems
|
The hours are but numbered few
As lifetime ebbs toward final shore.
One chance to have this presence known.
Fast etched, forevermore.
Take wing, to soar as eagles do
And strike the bonds that hold tight reined.
Lest shadows capture wisps of light
That mark thee brightly stained.
Embark sweet dreams as wishes made,
eyes closed, on flames of birthdays past.
Fear not such dreams shall lose full speed
Nor slip from halting grasp.
Go forth with resolution made
While beacon’s flame burns steadfast still.
For time waits not, nor dares to slow,
Nor bends to every will.

Well, there is little fear of anyone disliking your work I think. To all those that worry about their postings.........post them, if writing poetry is making you happy then nothing else matters.I write because I was inspired to from reading the work of another,if it gets read then it is a bonus to me !!
