The warmth of satisfaction
And you raise your head
You keep me from my goals
Forgetting all the things we said
Static failing these ears
And the words you never will
You've kept me from this long enough
And I love you even still
Get over the truth
Those facts that never would
It's not like I want to feel a mess
It's not like you ever could
Floating through this life
My hands around my throat
Grasping onto the air escaping
Through this life I shall float
Feeling like it's nothing
And your smile that disturbs
You've lied to me for months now
Forgotten those three little words

I know exactly what you mean in this poem. You couldn't make your point more clear. Very good imagery and wording
