Living in fear

Contributed by desertwispers on Friday, 9th January 2004 @ 02:17:39 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

When his day is done
I wonder what kind of mood
hell be in tonight?
If he comes home at all that is.
You know I sometimes wouldnt
care if he just disappeared
and never came home at all.

Will he be sober or a slobbering
mean mess adding to it the drugs
makes him a hateful *****.
Then the days woes will be taken
out on me I walk on eggshells
most of these days you see.

From one moment to the next
I never really know if he will love me
or let his frustrations go then explode.
This is my life I live in fear
wishing he would leave
then I would disappear.

He hides his abuse well
and if I should ever tell
there would no be a soul who would believe
but they dont understand
nor see the evil that I see.

Everyone claims he is the greatest
and the problem lies with me
sometime they need to hide in a corner
then they may really see
the monster he is to me.

Even though your mad at me miss Crystal michelle
it sounds to me like you know deep in your heart that this is the wrong place for you to be. So do what you can to leave because it sounds alot worse now. I read the other poems and I would hate for you to be at the other end of that smoking gun .Im feeling this is your fear?Right or wrong??
If your falling into some of his behaviors to make things better Im begging you to stop and make the plans to get yourself and son out of there. You know where the safe house is instead of being ***** off at me pack a bag and go there!!! Please
Michelle

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
