Mutant Cipher,
give me a prayer/
a one-eyed virtue/
the witch’s brew in an unfamiliar guise
or give me an earth to believe in
(other than a phallus)/
an amoral source/
a refuge from birth
or give me a song in auburn verse/
a muffled love/
some seven swords/
a garb to live and protect
all this so that her dumb felicity
may fail to inveigle what is foretold
in return
I promise not to complain about Zadig.

very visual indeed...
I trust that I must
tell you this
your words do choke
an inquisitive ear
but in spite how you spoke
and all of us fear
lust does tempt us
