Patience is a Virtue

Waiting, waiting, waiting
Nothing to do but wait
The steady footsteps of the people drive me crazy
Where are they going?
What are they up to?
They are also waiting
What are we waiting for?
To be sent into this place blindfolded
To sniff around like mice in a maze
Only to find year old cheese

Their conversations are mad
They don’t make any sense
They look the same
Talk the same
They even probably wear the same underwear, with year old cheese in them

The time passes by so slowly
I want to jump out of my skin and run butt naked around the quad
I don’t have the balls
Maybe I’ll be noticeable if I laugh uncontrollably or if I cry

Look at the clock its 9:30
Look at the clock thirty minutes later, 9:30
What the hell?!

Hunger whips through me like a violent wind
If I stay here any longer I will rip my arm off and consume it
I can’t wait anymore
I’m leaving
