Letter to you

Contributed by alecfernadez on Thursday, 8th January 2004 @ 12:07:48 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

I remember the first time you held me,
Still only a few months old, you could see
Something special that no-one else could
Something that only you understood
And I still cherish this memory,
Even though your fading from me

Its eating you from the inside
Its so terrible that it has to hide
You dont know whats going on
Your own death has begun
And you don't know

I dont want you to leave me
Dont leave, I love you, please
You mean everything to myself
Always there when I needed help
But now your going away
And your memory will forever stay

And to you, I write this letter
Hoping that you'd get better
You are the light of my life
Brighter than the cold steel knife
Please allow me to say goodbye
But I cant because you are so far
Beyond the wheels of a car
I'm going to miss you
But somehow; I'll know I'll get through
So I write this letter to you
To Explain that i'll always miss you
And in my heart you'll miss me too
Yours forever now and when your gone
Your grandson

Dedicado a mi abuelo; Nunca me olvidaré de usted
Alex

*Sigh* This one was really touching. I can feel that the words come from your heart. Your grandfather is a lucky person to have so much love. Its very sad when someone you love die and it takes a lot to submit something like this, I really admire you. A piece of art from the heart is priceless

WOW, this is an amazing poem Alex! The love for your grandmother has truly shone through. The one thing about grandmothers, is that they don't care what we look like, speak like, act like. they don't care about our past or if we fail in the future, they only care about US - YOU! they seem like the only family that love, for who the person is and not what!!
U made me want to cry Alex, Brilliant write my man!!
