A solitary tear says more than a thousand screams.
You reduce my heart to broken-hearted ashes
When you smile and tell me nothing's wrong.
Everyone bows to the princess but I spy blood on your tiara
I saw you bleed yourself to death in the dark
How can I not tell them what I saw?
They hurt more who fail to help their friends
But what else can I do when you keep pushing me away?
"Just a naive, melancholic poet," you saw in me
Another distance wedged between us
Fragments of you slowly seeping down into despair and madness
Too late now for me to piece back together
What I should have noticed sooner
Oh, they hurt most who fail to save their friends.

I really liked this. The wording was very good. Good write.
'Everyone bows to the princess but I spy blood on your tiara

I think there have been times when i "haven't been there" for a friend... mostly because i was too caught up in my own ***** to notice or give of myself. That's a nasty feeling and being a good friend takes work just like we have to work on all relationships.
