take a picture it won't last forever

pictures
just memories
raped and ripped from the past
snapshots of yesterdays
that mean nothing now
a tease from the fog
dripping
with what once seemed like happiness
just a knee-jerk reaction
programmed to feel
i don't know what's happened to me
it's all just gone to hell
used to mean so much to me
used to mean so much
staring at the photo
feeling what i've been conditioned to ignore
the feeling that all i'm looking at
is a "happier" time
that i can never relive
only remember
only long for
it's like standing at the grave of joy
of purpose
when you realize that you're happy
it's already gone
not the present anymore
just the past
a memory now
take a picture
it won't last forever

Don't understand why the fires of your hate are being directed at a picture, but u turned it into a good poem/scrawl.

one of my sayings i have said is
take a picture it will last longer... cause i didnt like how people looked at others....
anyways liked your poem.
wondering who was in the picture you cant seem to keep your eyes off and wishing at the same time that there wasnt a picture to see. cause it is painful to see them and they are arent there in real life... sandy |
