Oh yes, I’ve been arrested.
But not at all like you.
My chains I gladly put on,
Then threw away the keys too!
Yes, I am a prisoner.
But I look not through those metal bars.
When I lay down on my back at night,
If I choose to, I look at stars.
If I ever have to go to trial,
I’d plead guilty to my charged crime.
Then when I’m finally sentenced,
I hope it’s till the end of time.
I’m not ashamed to be found guilty,
Of loving her like she loves me.
And being shackled to my sweetheart,
Is always exactly, where I want to be!
