GETTING OVER YOU
The time has come for me to get over you,
allow my heart to seek somebody new.
Let your memory erase from my mind,
freeing myself from these chains that bind.
I always knew this time would come along,
that I'd wake up and find you gone.
Left with a house with no one to share,
I just never realized how soon this time would be here.
My heart still misses you, and my tears still flow,
getting over you has been ever so slow.
But I think it's time for me to move on,
to protect my heart from further harm.
Allow my eyes to seek someone new,
to search for somebody who's different from you.
Get back to a life that’s free from pain,
open the windows, for the sunshine to gain.
I'll finally break these chains around my heart,
and give myself a brand new start.

True heart ache can never be healed but you can surpass the pain and move on. This poem says a lot for anyone that is trying to move on in life. Truely amazing.
