Her tears have tasted the sorrows
And the fears of new tomorrows
She hears his voice, and will gladly borrow
The time they have, and she makes the choice
She sees him as a crystal bloom
His beauty reflecting in the moon
She reaches out to touch him still
And desire's victory has won the will
She hears the echo of an emerald breeze
His kisses bring her down to her knees
Furtive rainbows make the clouds rejoice
For the time they have, and she makes the choice
Consumed by flooding rivers of love
She rides the waves from up above
Their passion breathes as time stands still
And desire's victory has won the will

I can see why you cherish this poem so much. The feelings are so strong, and the rhyme makes it flow smoothly.
