Where is this war?

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Life at times seems no bigger than an baby's thumb/
Peace at times seems infant, small and dumb/
This wars in the middle east yet we have no tanks in the ghetto's blocks/
Constant killing there too, yet the only troops there are the few cops/
We must unite these nations, so peace can grow/
Villians always shatter to death, Saddam should know/
If the men of terror could only learn to surrender/
We can throw down these mental defenses, be a little less tender/
Dictators start with nothing but evil intentions and feel only dirt/
Democracy, the true way, but these nations are hard to convert/
Everyone's stubborn, stuck in their own ways/
This alone is gonna cause future d-days/
The people dont so why should the congress ignore/
Gang and street battles, where is this war?

Kind of goes with the "let he who be blameless cast the first stone" type theme--- first a nation must correct injustice within itself before correcting injustices elsewhere..... a nice point in the debate..... and very true....
Nice write (and might I say, the rhyming was well done. It didn't over power the message, and wasn't too sing-songy either....)
Thanks for sharing =)

God bless,
Ellen
