Every Sore Re-opened

Contributed by Carebear on Monday, 5th January 2004 @ 12:12:12 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

My eyes are brimming with tears,
Burning down my face a simple
Trace of blood so fine, so red
Runs down my back on to the floor
My wrists tied to the bed, bruised and bleeding
Your belt finds its mark bringing pain
And re-opening my every sore
My eyes are brimming with tears,
Burning down my face a simple
Trace of blood so fine, so red
Runs down my back on to the floor
My wrists tied to the bed, bruised and bleeding
Your belt finds its mark bringing pain
And re-opening my every sore

I look at my self in the mirror
Not sure who or what I see
A beautiful women I was now... I'm hardly alive
Bags of tiredness underline my eyes
A mummy is what I look like,
My cheeks are stained red from hundreds of tears
Running like blood down my face
Soaking in a hot bath the stinging pain returns
Along with the guilt I thought I had chased away
I pray this will stop and he will finally kill me
Throwing me in a ice cold lake to freeze
In that will eventually become my grave.
Walking in the snow leaving behind a trail of blood,
Falling from time to time hoping to dull the pain

I lie on a snow bank listening to music
The snowflakes falling, hoping to find a happy place
Not one which reminds me of my scars and failures,
But finally he finds me seeing my footsteps and droplets of blood
I wake up to his terrible voice berating and calling out my name
My knees weak and face frightened
Running for elusive shelter which I cannot find
He laughs seeing my pain and fright
He takes off his belt, rips off my shirt, and
Tosses me in the snow I hear the wind whistling around me
The demons coming back to laugh and gloat
The sounds of the tearing of my skin
And my screaming which shakes the night
There's not much left right now except pain

Feeling its harder to breathe I beg for him to stop
Knowing that wont help my screams carried away by the wind
My tears freeze to my face
My blood stains the snow
Slowly I feel my soul start to break away and rise above
My every sore has been re-opened
My final second alive
One last final breath
And finally I'm free
No more pain, no more bleeding.

this is a fantastic, powerful emotive write.
This piece is wonderfuy dark and disturbing, that the words work together to create something to remember forever. People should read this poem more, because of its pure amazingness!!!!!!
