Marginal thoughts grasp
and heave in the gallows;
drenched by the cries of
circadian needs.
But lay your head down,
dear child, and focus,
on nothing. Call these
emaciated workers from below.
Who can tell what these
castaways have learned
in the underbelly of
the concious mind?
Maybe everytime Rage takes hold
and pummels Reason to the planks
they row the terror away
and warp slowly in their bonds
Cut the shackles, I dare you.
Give emotion and logic an oar,
and let the unconcious captives
captain the ship

Oh blur- you got me thinking! Love the title and most especially the lines:
"Cut the shackles, I dare you.
Give emotion and logic an oar"
Well done!
*** Thanks for your note on "Dear Poet" - I appreciate it! : ) |
