Still and silent...not speaking
Just watching,
Cloaking the land with my trance,
Cradling dreams into my arms,
I line the darkness with my light,
Such was one night;
I remember now,
The memory of a listless lover,
Lost in the midnight hours,
In the warm embrace,
Of a beauty unknown ,
He was undaunted;
By the mysteries of life,
Not haunted,
By the words of men,
Only mesmerised by her sleeping form,
Only listening to life,
Speaking from with in it,
Her heaving chest,
Her violent tresses,
Time compresses and focuses,
On his sweet sweet darling,
As she sleeps...
He holds her and I hold them,
Till morning light,
Then I fade away,
And so ends;
The mystery of a beautiful summer night.

Quite an ethereal poem, this. I especially liked;
"I line the darkness with my light, "
That's an original thought.
Very good.
