Art of Crochet.

Contributed by Jessica_Saini on Sunday, 4th January 2004 @ 12:37:13 AM in AEST
Topic: PoemsonBeauty

Thin cold steel between my fingers
Tool for the art of yarn.
Wrapped around my other fingers
Glides the thin soft yarn.
Webs are weaved by my own fingers
Webs of colours gay.
Molded by my cold deft fingers
Are shapes in wide array.
An art to cure my idle fingers
An art to create art.
An art to keep my mind afresh
And to express my heart.

I really liked this poem because it reminds me of my grandmother and how she always used to try to teach me how to crochet : )

My Mom use to croqet and she taught me.

Brings back sweet memories when I use to make all sorts of things for my children when they were young.

I enjoyed reading your poem. It also brought memories into my mind. It is so amazing to watch someone crochet. It seems so intricate and to the eyes it is simply spell binding. My grandmother crochet afghans and I wish I had the talent as well.

Loved your poem!

Kie
