Canto VIII
Prince James quit going e'er to chapel nave,
it's lonely altar stone man didn't seek.
This inner sanctum seemed too cold and grave,
a morbid place where incense stayed to reek.
Prince viewed rock fane retreat for maimed and weak,
poor something a strong ruler didn't need.
From high position he despised the meek,
men into battle he'd much rather lead.
And those who dare oppose him better take much heed.
