rain hasnt broken in weeks
two days ago he gambled with the devil
took the greatest prize
rain settles on streetlights
and the sun comes down on him
with the beasts at the door
ill thoughts come to apartment 415
and 32 callibers of relief in his hnd
to hell he goes on his own terms
powder burns and a smileon his face
they end the night
with a single gun shot and a memory
of what life was like

i like your work. your poems are like little stories...mini-snapshots of peoples lives. it's cool. |
