I Wish, I Don't Wish

Contributed by ml02 on Friday, 30th August 2002 @ 11:02:23 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I
Wish I had wings
But
I bet
They'd be broken wings
And I'd be laying
On the cold
Hard cement
With no where to go
No way to move
Broken
Helplessly bleeding
To death
With everyone
Passing me by
Not stopping to help me.

I'd chirp
But it wouldn't be heard
'Cause everyone walks by
With a cellphone
To their ear
Talking
Like someone
Actually cares
And is listening.

So
I guess
I don't want wings
Why die as bird
When
I'm already dead as a human
Dead
To the world
But
They don't care
Everyone is to busy
With their own lives
To care.

I could
Take this shotgun
To my head
Blowout
My brains
And no one
Would miss me
Yeah
They'd all hear about it
And say
How sad
But
Then they'd go on
With their day
To day life
And forget
All about me
Dead in my grave.

what a very sad poem. But it is a very real poem. People all over the world feel as if they are nothing, and that nobody cares.
Best wishes,
Jessica
