She had a smile,
A way about her,
It was just impossible,
Not to fall in love.
Gentle of word,
Caring with ease,
Just the very sight,
And your heart was gone.
You would remember her,
But who could forget,
In your mind until the end,
A light to set against dark.
The world knew her name,
But few got to hold her hand,
Although not a tease,
A fraction out of reach.
You will never know,
Just who was the lucky guy,
Who whisked her away,
The girl who made you smile.

Oy, the pain of the (slightly) unreachable..... This is such a great one, I really enjoyed it. True, you can see the join if you look for it, but it's not that noticeable. I wouldn't have noticed at all if you hadn't said anything.....
Anyways, well done ; )
God bless,
