When life began and you where young,
And everything seemed okay.
You couldn’t wait, not another minute,
For Christmas or your next birthday.
Then there was school, that’s where you went,
To learn the lessons of the day.
But you couldn’t wait, not another minute,
You couldn’t wait to be away.
You start in your job; it leads you through life,
Wearing you down all the way.
You wish it would end so you could retire,
And just laze away each day.
All of this wishing you got what you want.
But then you realize and say, “hey
My life is over, I wished it away,
I wish I could start again okay!!”
