Blade to the wrist,
Clenched fist,
Mind a cancerous cyst,
Dark side difficult to resist.
Dreams psychotic,
Thoughts chaotic,
Accused of being neurotic,
Need something hypnotic.
Blood oozes,
Everyone abuses,
Leaving emotional bruises,
No more excuses.
Fingernails dig deep,
Unable to sleep,
Life is cheap,
Can't even weep.
Eyes a drought,
Too hoarse to shout,
Nothing in the water spout,
Except self doubt.
Soul impaled,
Mind jailed,
Heart nailed,
Death unveiled.
Am I real or fake,
No peace to make,
Toxin filled lake,
Burning at the stake.
Is it a dream?
Can they hear my scream?
Tell me to gain esteem,
Is suicide really too extreme?
In the end is suffering,
It's in the middle and beginning,
Depression winning,
World spinning.
Will I ascend,
Or descend,
Will I even mend,
In the end?
