Loving past memories in a story long ago,
hoping he'll never know the pain
in the tears that grow in lonely eyes.
Walking around in comfusing circles,
with ropes around her hands
keeping her from holding faith.
Wilting with passing roses in the garden
that rests in her heart with walls hate built,
leading him away from stories
that she never shows.
Poor grown-up girl in a little kids world,
just trying to be the strongest all around.
Yet she holds his hand
as she tells him everything is alright
and she cries inside her heart.
