A Child's Revenge

Contributed by CuttersAngel on Tuesday, 30th December 2003 @ 11:51:06 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

A child sits alone in her room
Looking at the bruises left by the broom
She was told she was bad and misbehaved
So a few good hits her mother gave
Her mom is abusive but doesn't care
She didn't want this child, to her it's unfair
Brook is this child's name
Look in her eyes and see the pain
She cries in her room alone at night
But now she's decided that it's time to fight
The next day her mom goes to hit her again
She tells ehr mom that this time she won't win
Brook grabs the bat and swings at her mom
She realizes she's wanted to do this all along
A couple good hits and that's all it takes
Before she realizes this extreme mistake
Her mom lies on the floor, not moving at all
The neighbors hear her scream and the police are called
Brook is arrested and detained
If the police only knew this child's pain
She is in trouble but she doesn't regret
Cuz the things her mom did she'll never forget.
