A love that could never be

I flew ten thousand miles to see her
As she was laid to rest
I didn’t know how it could it happen
For she had so much life left
I guess the pain consumed her
Broke her heart and raptured her soul
When came the hour of decision
She thought she had no place to go
A mist settles over the graveyard
Enveloping all that can be seen
It has come to say goodbye….
Good-bye to a love that could never be.

Such a beautiful poem about something so sad. Seems surreal doesn't it?? |
