Cry for Me

Contributed by hope on Tuesday, 30th December 2003 @ 12:46:31 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Im ok
Its what I often say
Who understands anyway, is how I relate
Noone knows the pain we hold inside
The walls we’ve put up, the tears we’ve cried
The inner child who is so lost inside
We keep the walls up to close her inside

We tell her don’t cry, I’ll keep you safe
Close your eyes, keep them tight
I’ll lock the door, we’re out of sight
Noone knows we’re hiding here
Go ahead you don’t have to fear
Cry, cry, I won’t let them see your tears

Cry for the hurt you’ve endured
Cry for the abandonment you carry
Cry for the loss of your innocence
Cry for your betrayal
Cry for the little girl whose smiles were few
But most of all will you cry for me too…
For after all me is you

Cry, for it can heal the heart. Cry with hope, and the tears will be bright like stars.
