Broken Home

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Thank you for this broken home,
Grief and tragedy you've left us with,
So you can live on your own.
Your selfishness is eating me away,
My brain is ticking with thoughts,
No longer having anything to say.
This depression has flooded me,
As you routinely leave your mark,
You've packed your things to leave.
You've done it before,
Like the Boy Who Cried Wolf,
You're like an aggravating sore.
You bluff your grounds,
And say you will,
Then do it already!
And let me be tranquil.
I'm tired of this heartache,
That you constantly cause,
You wonder why we don't have a relationship,
Everything eventually falls.
I crawl to pick up the pieces from the ground,
The ones you've created before,
To try to save this,
Wanting this I am no longer sure.
Everything that I thought in life,
You have steered me wrong,
You've created this broken home more than once,
I can only take this for so long.
Go on, I no longer want you here,
a selfish being as yourself,
You just create excuses,
To amuse yourself.
He has provided everything for you,
You've gotten everything you want,
This more to this,
So don't put on a facade and front.
You've created this monster,
Out of me,
I don't hate but dislike,
Content in this I will be.
Goodbye then,
Go,
But don't think for a moment,
That I will be knocking at your door.
You've cleaned your slate,
Turned in your chips,
You've broken the last straw,
Severing our 'relationship'.
This game you play is ridiculous,
Grow up,
And act like a mother,
Because of now your starting to bother.
So now I am here,
All alone,
With these menacing thoughts of you,
Thank you for causing this broken home.
