a place to call home

Contributed by Candi on Sunday, 28th December 2003 @ 10:40:06 PM in AEST
Topic: ThankYouPoems

they say home is where the heart is
so where is it?
where is my home?
my little blue house
with the gray shudders
and the picket fence
that holds the dog
that is always happy to see everyone
where is it?
all i've ever wanted is to have a place
where i am comfortable
where i can go and kick back
and relax
and feel safe
i can't find it
i'm lost
wandering the world
in search of a home
a place to lay my head
my place
it wont burn
it wont fall down
it wont crack
or get taken away
it will be mine
my home
my safe haven
my dream
