C'est la vie

Contributed by Jeff9man on Sunday, 28th December 2003 @ 02:12:37 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Please forgive me,
I did not know.
I never would have imagined
A rope so rough,
A blade so sharp.
I don’t care who can see,
The pain I keep inside of me.
I won’t hide it anymore
My wounded soul,
Battered and sore.
You always said He had a plan,
How can I agree, a broken man?
Life’s His gift, I’ll give it back.
Tired of my world doused in black.
Sorry I let you down,
Just not strong enough
I know it doesn’t seem fair,
But that’s life, tough.

Thats what I do, but others take it wrong..writing helps release what's held within..everyone knows that..
Nicely done.

Beautifully written...
"You always said He had a plan,
How can I agree, a broken man?
Life’s His gift, I’ll give it back.
Tired of my world doused in black."

I loved those lines.

You'd be amazed how many people on this site take everything people like us write so seriously, even though its still just poetry
people can't grasp that these types of thoughts we try to share no matter how good the write

At last I am beginning to understand the "Suicide Souls Society" not just from this poem but also the comments.

In the past I have tended to be unsympathetic
(even contemptuous).

I'm going to go away and have a long think.
Maybe I'll even change my ideas and write a sympathetic poem
