Trying to Flee

Left abandoned,
Left to die.
Overlooked by every eye.
Pleading, praying,
To simply die,
but Death denies; grinning wry.
The longer to wait;
The more desire.
But of waiting, begin to tire.
Then to hear it,
What's wanted the most,
To hear the bell begin to toll.
Now to run.
For it tolls for thee.
All to think is to flee.
Try to run.
To no avail.
Death has got you; so ghastly, pale.
For as the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee.
No hope left to try to flee.

Impressive. I like the fact that you are able change rhyming schemes in some of your writes. That shows talent.
Well done
