Broken lives.
Shattered dreams.
Nothing left,
Is what it seems.
Until the end,
I'll shed these tears.
Just like I have
For so many years.
Fallen hopes
and Grounded wings.
I've nothing left of what I need.
It wasn't always
just like this.
And those are times
I surely miss.
Deep within,
my heart confined,
Will be my end,
My demise.
For what I need
Is of the past.
Long since gone;
Long since cast

I read your poem several times and it just called to me more so with each reading. It really is a great poem and very sad in a deep, heart touching way.
