Destiny spins me around like a top
Pessimism tells me where it'll stop
In a dark cavern where I reside alone
Ready to give, ready to atone
Hate permeates throughout my flowing blood
My screams and my pain create tears of mud
I wish it on those fool enough to take
This nightmare from which no one can awake
Searing pain to which we are born
Innocence shredded in a cradle of thorns
Quiet agony in which we will die
A nail in the coffin each time we cry
Emotion suppressed, caged with compassion
Silent anguish without any ration
The song in my mind, a soul killing dirge
It plays and it feeds the slow killing urge
Death gives a breath of ice on my shoulder
Humanity dies, my heart grows colder
The conscience feels like needles of fire
Life-curse my spirit, wrapped in barbed wire
Searing pain to which we are born
Innocence shredded in a cradle of thorns
Quiet agony in which we will die
A nail in the coffin each time we cry

I found this deep and dark and I LOVED it...
"Life-curse my spirit, wrapped in barbed wire"
That line is stuck in my mind....A very vivid description.

Ooooh, I quite liked this . . .
I was going to say that I especially liked the second stanza, but then I realized that, no, it was the third stanza I liked the most. And the fifth. And the fourth. And so on . . .
Poignant and dark and beautiful. Loved the chorus-like part.
gleam and glimmer,
