My Yesterdays, Todays, and Tomorrows

My Yesterdays, Todays, and Tomorrows

I knew that you were a very good friend,
But I think that I did not comprehend,
The full power and beauty,
Of what we share.
People express what they feel after a scare,
And tonight I have met it half way there.
It seems I should frown, but I smile.
Knowing you can be scared,
Shows me how much you cared.
And I love that, about you.
You can show me what is so true,
With your moods and your words.
I have been blind for some time now,
But my senses left are too aware to let me down.
I have seen through lost eyes,
A friend, so real, so there. So you.
I couldn't ask for anyone better than you, my friend,
Because the qualities in you are to the end.
No one person can posess what you have got,
You give and share for others who have not sought,
A halve to their heart that fits in the mold so right.
You are
A beacon of light
You are
A delight
I could not survive a fortnight
Without you.
Forever in my heart, my yesterdays, and my tomorrows,
I'll help you, as you've helped me, mend sorrows.
You're with me every day,
In my mind I rewind,
To see you, and hear you, and know you,
Because you are
To me
The best you could ever be.
And I smile with glee,
Knowing you're friends with me.
I love you Pam,
You are a part of who I am.
Thank you.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
