I saw you for you
You saw me for me
For some unclear reason
There never was a vision of we.

My mind has convinced
My heart to become blind
I was forced to reject the truth
And thus was left behind

I know I have now missed out
On something that should have been
I missed something pure and clean
I missed out on a best friend
